Ok, sorry for the long delay. I'll be quicker next time, I promise. 
Here are the results with SANE_DEBUG_SHARP=20 and SANE_DEBUG_SANEI_SCSI=255 
(I assume you meant this instead of SANEI_DEBUG_SANEI_SCSI since the latter 
doesn't appear to do anything)
