My configuration is the following one :

 - SuSE 7.2
 - Kernel 2.4.4 or 2.4.13
 - Sane 1.0.5
 - Xsane 0.80

I tried to install my Agfa scanner Snapscan e20.

I integrated the modules to my system
(Thank to cat /proc/bus/usb/devices I know the number
product and ID number (0x201 and 0x06bd))

So the modules are well loaded, so I use the agfafirm
file :

 ./agfafirm /dev/usbscanner snape20.bin

After that My scanner is very noisy every one minute
(the head move by itself !!!)

So I start Xsane, my scanner is well detected

But when I want to scan an error message appear :
"Your scanner device is busy !"

I tried with the kernel 2.4.4, 2.4.13
I tried a beta driver and official driver of snapscan
devices (from sourceforge)

 I checked my modules
 - scanner = 0
 - usb-uhci = 0
 - usbcore = 1

Maybe the problem comes from usbcore.

Do you have any idea ?
