Hi,
i'm interested in the development. I have hp7400c and need it (mainly :) to
scan astrophysical plates in sixteen-bit grayscale. I'm experienced mainly in
CCD image processing and post-processing - i.e. flat-fielding and darkframing
(may be these processes are called differently in sane, but it's the way of
"cleaning" the raw image from CCD detector's "personality" :).
If you are used to another terminology, please let me know.
I will study what's done in the driver and try to determine, what works and
what does not as the first step.
Obvious programmming language: C
Others: awk, assembler(rare), c++, pascal, partly python
P.S. I know, sane (now) does not support 16 bit images, it also does not
support formats used to save them (fits (tiff is horrible)), but i will be
happy to have eight-bit images for now.
