[sane-devel] Acer Scanwit 2740S Support?

I recently acquired an Acer Scanwit 2740S film scanner, a SCSI-based unit, that has
been running very happily under Windows 98SE.  Having now had the experience of SuSE
7.3, I would very much like to get this scanner working under Linux.

Naturally, the list of Acer scanners supported does not include the Scanwit 2740S.
Are there any plans to support it?
