hello
sorry for the newbie question on an devel-list, but i did not find the help i
need.
i try to get my epson perfection640u (usb) scanner running with sane and
xsane.
but xsane always says "no devices available".
i know it should work, the scanner is supported.
i found a mini howto in the faq (it's under www.arrakis.es), i followed the
installation-steps, but without success.
where can i find a installingguide or what do i have to do??
in the following some infos about my system.
thanks a lot in advance
jochen

No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different,
check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the
find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation which came
with this software (README, FAQ, manpages).
