It's not intentional, but I don't always have the time to update the
page immediately and as a result they can get missed.

Probably. Though as many USB scanner drivers exist even when the manufacturer
refuses to help, and most USB scanners seem to be variants of a small subset
of scanner chipsets this seems to be something of a moot point these days.
