Well I'll be...after rmmod'ing and modprobing about 10-20 times it finally just found the device. I swear that I did nothing different than before. Now the lamp only moves a tiny bit and I get a preview/scan with a big blue & purple smear running down the center. I don't think its actually moving enough to scan anything.
