I maintain a project for the ScanJet 3300c, see

Inside the source tarball is a script to patch the sane-backends
sources (version 1.0.9 is required) to add 3300c support.

It also supports the HP3400 and HP4300, although mostly as a
hack because the specifics of the chipset in the HP3400/4300 have
not been figured out yet.
