Hi, I'm probably not able to help with you particular scanner,
but the serial number looks very much like a scanner chip number.
Realtek has a chip named the RTS8801C, see

I just got a report that the Hewlett-Packard ScanJet 3500c uses a
similar chip, namely the RealTek RTS8801C2-6.
