As the IPv4 address is 32 bit, I think u_int32_t is correct. If I
remember correctly, long is 32 bit on 32 bit systems, too.

I have used u_int32_t in CVS now. Maybe someone can test this on a 64
bit system which doesn't have inet_pton and inet_aton.
