In case anyone is interested, this appears to work. I'm using a Sun IPX
for the host machine. It took most of the evening to build SANE on this
machine even after hacking the makefile to only build the hp backend. I've
not done any extensive testing, but grayscale and lineart are both working
at 300 and 600 dpi with the ADF and without it.
