Sorry for my late reply.  I've been on vacation.

The server was crashed, and needed someone to visit the machine room
to reboot it.  This took some time, as no one was located nearby.

The problem seem to be fixed now.

I guess we should set up some serial console with reset capabilities
to be able to fix such problems from remote.  We do not currently have
such equipment. :-(

I'm not sure if there are any backups as such.  The CVS repository in
cvs.hungry.com is mirrored to anoncvs.hungry.com (which is a different
host) once an hour.  This will give us a backup when the disk fails on
cvs.hungry.com.
