[sane-devel] Success but I don't what I did...

Everytime I ran scanimage --help -d epson, it seemed I got a bit 
farther.

After rebuilding it a couple more times, I tried it with xscan and 
that came up with a choice requestor showing the old plustek and 
the new epson as the choices.

Choosing epson, I ran it thru its paces at 300 dpi.

1. Any color corrections aren't instantly visible in the preview 
window, thats a bummer.

2. The scans are very very good!  ALL the crazy shading I had is 
gone like a greyhound bus.

I'm a happy camper :-)
