That is just an information. There is a list of vendors in the SANE
documentation to keep the spelling consistent over several backends.
As far as I can tell, it is not a requirement.
"Gphoto2" looks fine to me.
I've added Gphoto2 to the list of vendors, so you won't see it anymore.
