Dear friends,
I've just installed Mandrake 9.0 in Spanish, and I'm unable to set my
SnapScan 1212U for Xsane.I receive a "no hay dispositivos obtenibles"
("no available devices") error.
Some data
sane-find-scanner "sees" the scanner and returns a right vendor and
product information at /dev/usb/scanner0
I've changed the snapscan.conf file to point to the firmware file, a
I've uncommented the usb line.
When I launch Xsane, I found in /etd/sane.d a SnapScan.conf (notice the
capital letters) file, empty. When I write it with the content of
SnapScan.conf, I get no results.
Xsane creates a link to the scanner in my desktop.
I've tried 1.0.87 and 1.0.89 backends.
As far as I know, I only have one Sane installation.
When I installed RedHat 8.0 with the English version of Xsane some weeks
ago, I had no problem in setting up the scanner.
¿Some advice?
Thanks in advance.
