[sane-devel] Anybody with a HP contact ?

Hi!

A relative just aquired a HP scanjet 3500c as I'm having him move to linux 
(Mandrake 9.0). This scanner is the only equipment not supported.

The USB ID is 0x03f0-0x2205

I don't think there is a well-known backplane available for it , but I 
understand that knowing the scanner chipset is a necessary step to go in that 
direction.

So, does anybody has a contact at HP or anywhere else in the industry knowing 
which chipset this scanner use ?

The HP installation CD/user manul supports both scanjet 2300c and 3500c if 
that could be a hint (?)
