i can't tell you how pleased i am to see my scanner finally supported
by sane. it was a very disappointing experience to bring it home
months ago and find out that it didn't work.
i'm using the cvs version of sane, and i get it to scan using the
plustek backend. scanning photos at any resolution produces an image
with faint diagonal bands across the image. it's like a rythmic noise
in the image.
i'm unfortunately unfamiliar with the code, so i can't help, but i'd
be happy to test anything that may fix it.
the little merlin test program does not exhibit this problem.
thanks.
