Can anyone make recommendations about combination printer-scanner-copier
machines? There are a lot of cheap ones out there. For esample, our local
WalMart sells a Lexmark for about $170. I understand from checking out
www.linuxprinting.org that these cheap Lexmark printers can print now in
Linux, but they say on that website that they do not know anything about
the scanner support. These are USB scanners, so they might use one of the
new scanner-on-a-chip such as for example the LM983x series, which people
have been pretty successful about supporting at this point.

So, does anyone know anything about these Lexmark combination machines, or
some similar devices?
