That's a comment for the backend authors:

That image looks like there is no fine (per CCD pixel) calibration
done, or the calibration isn't done correctly. I don't know how it
works with the Epson scanners, but with the scanners I know there is a
special calibration area for the transparency unit. So maybe the
calibration uses the normal calibration strip in transparency mode,
too? Or the backend doesn't know the correct position of the
calibration area?
