No. Well, they provide a software that is itsself TWAIN compatible. In
short: It doesn't mean anything.

Ok. So you should start writing the backend even faster :-)

Can you show us the output of "cat /proc/bus/usb/devices" or
"sane-find-scanner -v -v" when the scanner is plugged in, please?
