[sane-devel] HP Scanjet 5300c

Hi.

I just found the time to test the 1.0.10 release. It works just fine
for my HP 5300, conneceted the my SiS630 laptop, kernel:

rene at portable:~/Mail/private > cat /proc/version 
Linux version 2.4.20 (root at portable.localnet) (gcc version 3.2.1) #8 Fri Dec 27 16:52:57 CET 2002

But it woulld be nice if you could apply a more recent patch - since I
rewrote the sense code handling, and the latest driver includes some
safer "max read size" limitting, which should fix the "out-of-memory"
and "seg-fault" cases reported on sane-devel ... Patches:
