[sane-devel] problem while detecting USB scanner

Hi , 

I have a avision 600U USB scanner. But sane-find-scanner is not able to find that scanner.

i m using sane backend 1.0.12 and kernel version 2.4.18. 
Do i need to configire or install something for running the USB scanner?
