Sorry, I have no idea where did "sane-1.0.3" come from. "rpm -qa | grep
sane" could not find it.

Yes. I will test Snapscan scanner first after completion of all
necessary packages before making any change to "snapscan.conf"

wine-20020605-2.i386.rpm
wine-devel-20020605-2.i386.rpm

# rpm -ivh /home/satimis/Download/Sane/RH8.0/libkscan-devel-3.0.3-3.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
         libkscan = 3.0.3-3 is needed by libkscan-devel-3.0.3-3

# rpm -ivh /home/satimis/Download/Sane/RH8.0/libkscan-3.0.3-3.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
         libgcc_s.so.1   is needed by libkscan-3.0.3-3
         libpng12.so.0   is needed by libkscan-3.0.3-3

         libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.2)   is needed by libkscan-3.0.3-3

OR shall I turn back to their RH7.3 packages which already downloaded also
