touch /var/lock/subsys/local
as ROOT added following line to this file
chmod 666 /dev/sg1
Rebooted the PC then it worked as ROOT only but not as USER
as USER
# ls -l /dev/sg1
crw------- 1 satimis root 21, 1 Apr 11 2002 /dev/sg1
Still have to issue
# chmod -c 0666 /dev/sg1
to make it works
