I have code, but it's not scanning yet. The head moves and I get some
data but it's not what I expect.

I need time :-) I've a UMAX Astra 4500 myself so testing is only
needed once there is working code. I'll announce that on sane-devel
and http://www.meier-geinitz.de/sane/genesys-backend/ once I have
something to show.
