Hi all,

With a lot of test effort from Jörg Skottke I've finally managed to
add support for the Epson 1670 in the SnapScan backend. You need the
latest SANE sources from CVS to try it ( see
http://www.sane-project.org/snapshots/ ).

After installation you need to modify your snapscan.conf (usually
found in /usr/local/etc) and add the filename of your firmware file,
with full path. The firmware file for the Epson 1670 is named
esfw30.bin and is included in the Windows driver.

For further details and installation instructions see
http://snapscan.sourceforge.net

I'm interested in further feedback on this scanner. If you test it,
please mail me your findings.

All other users of the SnapScan backend are requested to test the
latest backend version as well, just to make sure I didn't break
anything by accident.
