That's a check for the list of scanner manufacturers in the SANE
standard. The idea of that list is to use the same spelling in every
backend (e.g. "hp" vs "HP" vs "Hewlett-Packard"). I'm sure the
standard misses lots of manufacturers so that warning is not that
relevant.
