[sane-devel] HP3400c device busy

Hello to everyone, this is my first post here.
Lurking this mailing list I found a thread back in November about a problem 
with hp3400c and libusb, and I have exactly the same problem :)
However, I can add some informations to better specify that problem.
I have an Asus A7M266 motherboard with the infamous via686b southbridge and 
I'm using the uhci-hcd usb kernel driver.
The 2.4 scanner kernel module worked perfectly, but both libusb and 2.6 
scanner module (definitively removed from 2.6.3) says that the device is 
busy.
If unplug and replug the device and immediately access the scanner with any 
frontend it works correctly; same behaviour if I just restart hotplug. 
Sometimes the device remains accessible for some minutes, sometimes for few 
seconds, sometimes for more than one access, sometimes only for the first 
access.
