Hello,
I have two scanners, an Epson 1650 and a Hewlett Packard 6200C.
My system is a home-brewed Linux 2.6.3 with libusb.
Using xscanimage as the front end, the Epson 1650 functions nicely.
However, the HP 6200C, even though it is detected by sane-find-scanner
and scanimage -L (sometimes), will not start up under xscanimage.
My hp.conf contains only one line:
usb 0x03f0 0x0201
Invoking with the command "scanimage hp:libusb:001:002" will successfully
start the program, but the responsiveness is EXTREMELY SLOW. The
system log becomes filled with the same message:
Feb 25 19:10:33 (none) kernel: usb 1-2: control timeout on ep0out
Feb 25 19:11:16 (none) kernel: usb 1-2: control timeout on ep0out
Feb 25 19:12:19 (none) last message repeated 12 times
Feb 25 19:13:29 (none) last message repeated 7 times
Feb 25 19:14:34 (none) last message repeated 13 times
etc. etc.
What can I do to fix this?
Is this a bug in the SANE software?
