Can you put an example on a webpage? Try a low resolution and width so
the image doesn't get too big.

It could be the backend. While your scanner isn't used very widely,
the Artec Ultima 2000 which uses the same settings is very widespread.
So I'd expect lots of bug reports if there were bugs like this one.
But you never know ...
