[sane-devel] Incorrect 16Bit scanning using hp 7400c

With "scanimage -d avision:/dev/sg0 --mode 16Bit\ Gray --format=tiff"
LPR can't print the scanned image and reports:

E [06/Dec/2005:11:37:36 +0100] [Job 1555] Bad TIFF dimensions
2480x3507x16x1!

scanimage reported:

scanimage: scanning image of size 2480x3507 pixels at 16 bits/pixel
scanimage: acquiring gray frame
scanimage: read 17394720 bytes in total

I was using the latest avision backend (revision 295). Does anybody know
what went wrong? Incidentally, it's the same problem with 16Bit Color
mode.
