i've put the full logs of the nikonscan communication with the coolscan LS50ED
in

both are the sane run but the "cleaned" one has some lines removed, keeping only
data and timestamps.

The times are as follows:

~50ms     - the dump was "plugged in"
~85000ms  - open twain source (ie, the scanner is contacted and identified,
            the packet at 85339ms contains the scanner ID string)
~114000ms - the preview was started
~133000ms - preview ends
~175000ms - actual scan starts (ends around 40s later)
