I changed to USB abter finding the proper cable finally. But
when I run scanimage, this is what I get.
insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.24-xfs/kernel/drivers/media/video/bttv.o:
insmod char-m
ajor-81 failed
insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.24-xfs/kernel/drivers/media/video/bttv.o:

insmod: Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module
parameters, includ
ing invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg

Also, there's absolutely *nothing* in /var/log/messages. Even
using USB. So do I still need to do a modprobe of some sort? And how
do I know what module to run modprobe on?
Thanks,
Terrence
