That is EXACTLY what I'd remembered seeing a number of months back and
couldn't find again! THANK YOU!
Mr. Henning, may I suggest adding this reference (and perhaps the source
code?) to your develop page?
Aditionally, I should mention that I have had promising results with two
invaluable tools from SysInternals - Regmon and Filemon.
Anyone forced to work under windows should get to know these utilities, as
they will show you registry and file accesses, respectively. In what I
suspect might well be a widespread practice, I found that the TWAIN driver
queried "HKLM/Software/Fujitsu/Fujitsu Limited TWAIN Driver/Log/Level".
Setting this value to FFFF produced an scan so slow the scanner paused
repeatedly to let the system catch up, and created a 100k file named
'Fjtw32.log', which begins like:
