[sane-devel] Umax 610P needs

Congratulations to all who made possible the use of my ancient 610P under
Linux (FC3).  It works mostly great!

Now for a couple questions/requests.

1) Is there a way to turn off the lamp via software on this thing?

2) I found that I could get this software to work with my 610P only by
setting the BIOS to SPP.  This makes it quite slow to use (at least I
*think* that's why it's slow).  Will I ever be able to use ECP or EPP with
my 610P and get better performance as a result?
