[sane-devel] Can I use c++ in sane-backend programing?

You can use any language you wish for your backend. However, if you
want it to be part of the sane-backends distribution, please use C only.
Even if we'd add a check for c++ in configure.in and compile the
backend conditionally, you can't be sure that you don't get all sorts
of compatibility problems with old c++ compilers.
