I am in the process of adding network scanning support for the Dell 1600n 
MFP and Alessandro Zummo is working on one of the Epson MFP models.  As 
far as I know no other network scanners are currently supported.  (I could 
be wrong.)

For my own part, with a new baby imminent I suspect that the 
dell1600n_net_scan backend could be a little while coming but in the 
unlikely event that that is the MFP you have, there is a standalone 
network scanning driver at http://www.jon.demon.co.uk/dell1600n-net-scan/
