[sane-devel] HP 5300C fails on ubuntu

hi

I've heard that sane is a bit broken in edgy. If I plug the USB end of 
my 5300C in to my dell box I get this from dmesg:

[17179723.368000] usb 3-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and 
address 3
[17179733.548000] usb 3-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
[17179733.552000] usb 3-2: can't set config #1, error -71

Is this even a sane problem? I have other USB devices working fine.
