 Hi Stephen,

  I'm glad you appreciated my work. I don't know if
 there are other epson scanners with the same protocol. 

 I know some recent scanners can have the network
 interface as an add-on but the protocol is unknown
 to me.

 Maybe Olaf has more details... ?
