Allan
I found some help in the FAQ file usb-scanner.txt. I have been working
my way down the instructions and have come to a problem.
When I run
> robin at robin-desktop:~$ modprobe scanner vendor=0x04a7 product=0x0424
I get
> FATAL: Module scanner not found.
I picked up the vendor and product from running:
cat /proc/bus/usb/devices
I know from the literature that the Avision backend supports my Visioneer Strobe XP450
scanner.
Could you please suggest a next step.
Robin
Allan
You advised me as below to add the id to the conf file. Could you please
point me to an example?
Robin
it seems that the backend is not looking for a scanner with that id.
perhaps you can add it to the conf file, as per man sane-avision?
