  4-2  Installing a tar file

  Execute the following command to complete the installation.

    # tar -zxvf iscan-${version}-${release}.tar.gz
    # cd iscan-${version}
    # ./configure
    # make
    # make install

So instead of just ./configure, you would use:

  # ./configure --prefix=/usr

Please ignore the bit about the need to install SANE from tar in that
case.
