Which scanimage command line did you try ? 

In fact, you cannot use different xdpi and ydpi, at least with the pixma
backend. Looks like Canon's (dpi)x(2.dpi) produces an interpolated image
in y anyway. 

So I we must keep the dpi parameter to 600 for MP190.
