[sane-devel] Agfa Snapscan Touch, X-Sane 0.991, Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon

Hi. 
I am trying to get an Agfa Snapscan Touch to work with X-Sane 0.991 on
Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon. 
I have followed the info at
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ScanningHowTo under Manually
installing a scanner. The niash line is already uncommented. 
I have restarted Gnome but Xsane still cannot find the device. 

Unfortunately I am a newbie and I am rather bewildered by the various
documentation at http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Scanner-HOWTO/index.html and
http://bertrik.sikken.nl/hp3300c/README.html. 
Can anyone help me please?
