The plustek_pp backend mentioned there won't work with the 620P.
There are two variants of the 1212P.
One is a rebranded Acer (1212P with power switch)
and the other a rebranded Plustek (1212P without power switch).

There is no reliable SCSI-over-Parallel driver for this protocol
for Linux.
