[sane-devel] hp5470c grayscale mode not available

Hi,
I've recently upgraded to Ubuntu 8.04 and I discovered that I can't scan
in gray scale with my HP5470c.
The scan mode menu is not available in xsane (0.995), xscanimage
(1.0.14) or kooka (0.44).

   From what I recalled, it used to be possible with Ubuntu 7.10. It
surely works fine under windows on the same machine.

I'm using /usr/lib/sane/libsane-hp5400.so.1.0.19

If needed I've attached the debug trace (export SANE_DEBUG_HP5400=255).

Any idea or thing I can do to help to solve this ?
