Dear all,

I follow the guide on sane-project website to setup the shared
scanner for intranet use.

     things i do as below:

environment : the HP LaserJet 3015 All on one printer connect to a
loongson box(debian system) directory with usb (ohci_hcd). Others are
debian / ubuntu systems.

    1) install sane-utils
    2) setup subnet in /etc/sane.d/saned.conf 192.168.4.0/24
    3) grep sane-port /etc/inetd.conf ( openbsd-inetd )
 	sane-port stream tcp nowait saned.saned /usr/sbin/saned saned
    4) grep sane-port /etc/services
sane-port 6566/tcp sane saned	# SANE network scanner daemon

After start the saned, i can find the scanner, with scanimage -L by
root and also users of scanner group in loogson box. That is the local
use has no problem.

*device `hpaio:/usb/hp_LaserJet_3015?serial=00CNBSB42011' is a
Hewlett-Packard hp_LaserJet_3015 all-in-one,*

--------------------------------------------------

For my own debian system, add my user to scanner group and then
invoke scanimage -L.

Sometimes, it can get the device as show above and sometimes it
cannot. Well usually cannot.

Totally, i got two errors from syslog on loongson box:

 1) saned[4133]: do_bindings: [1] socket failed: Address family not
supported by protocol
 2) inetd[3842]: sane-port/tcp: bind: Address already in use

--------------------------------------------------------

Well, after hours work on it, still failed to solve the problem. Please
help.

Best regards,
Zhu Zhixin
