I need an ADF scanner capable to scan small format documents. I
consider ordering Kodak i1220:

  http://graphics.kodak.com/docimaging/US/en/Products/Document_Scanners/Desktop/i1220_Scanner/index.htm

It comes with Linux drivers

  http://download.kodak.com/docimaging/drivers/LinuxSoftware_i1200_v3.5.tar.gz

which contain in particular an Ubuntu/Debian package

--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
Package: twaindsm
Version: 2.0.1-1
Section: libdevel
Priority: optional
Architecture: i386
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.4-1), libgcc1 (>= 1:4.1.1-12), libstdc++6 (>= 4.1.1-12)
Conflicts: twaindsm
Installed-Size: 212
Maintainer: TWAIN Working Group <twaindsm at twain.org>
Description: TWAIN Data Source Manager
 The TWAIN Working Group's Data Source Manager (DSM) for managing communication
 between applications and TWAIN drivers (data sources)
--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---

Is this a good choice?

Best regards

Janusz
