Generally a backend should not print anything at debug level 0, unless
the device has a problem during use. Certainly not during discovery...

[pixma] bjnp_send_broadcasts: Sent only ffffffff = -1 bytes of packet,
error = Operation not permitted

I think this is a user account with limited perms, using a directly
connected scanner with another backend, always gets this (unrelated)
message.
