Analyzing the trace for this device show that the protocol used here is
completely unknown to us for the moment. Supporting this new protocol,
without any kind of documentation, would mean 1) an analysis and
understanding of the messages exchanged and protocol logics, and 2)
development for adding support to the backend.
Experience feedback in such case, reveals that is necessary for devs to have
access to a real device, in order to run tests, and design the software for
it.
This is unfortunately no more a simple extension or adaptation of the
existing software, as it is usually the case for all devices we have added
to the pixma backend, but a deeper design of a new solution.
This is bad luck that Canon choosed this implementation for this device, and
that it does not give access to documentation for supporting it.
