This message is to announce the Feature Freeze for sane-backends version 1.0.21.

Timeline:

2010-04-11 Feature freeze. Docs and bugs may continue to be fixed. No
new features may be added.
2010-04-18 Code freeze. Docs and hardware/compilation breaking bugs
may continue to be fixed.
2010-04-25 Release

There are a great number of bugs in the tracker which have not been
addressed. Wherever possible, I have assigned these to a backend
author. Please look at your assigned bugs, and also at the unassigned
ones, and provide some help if you are able. It would be good to get
some of these closed before release.

Also, please check your .desc files, and make sure they are up to date
with all the scanners your backends support.
